Knit Espeon-inspired Hats by aetherfang Knit Espeon-inspired Hats by aetherfang
Hi everyone! Been a while since I've posted anything, but I've been working my tail off trying to get all these hats ready for convention, and that includes a fair amount of completely new patterns. One of them was this gem, my version of an Espeon-inspired hat. This is knit from acrylic yarn, and the ears have quilting batting in them to keep them standing up.

They are for sale, $63 each (price includes US shipping, higher for international)! - Regular Espeon is SOLD! but you can always commission one direct from me! - If you are interested in one, I sell online through Etsy. I take credit cards, and can occasionally work out deals for other methods of payment, but I do not take PayPal as I have had bad dealings with them in the past. I'm also open for commissions, and always up for a challenge! Most of the Eevee evolutions are going to be around this price, maybe a bit higher, due to the amount of time invested in making them.

Also, Epic Hats is going to be at a lot of conventions this year! I'll mainly be in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/Saint Paul) but I should also be travelling to one or two Wisconsin conventions. There will be some hats there that I'm not going to post online, so be sure to check my journal entries [link] and see if I'm going to be at a convention near you!

Pattern designed by me!
Espeon c. Pokemon Company and Nintendo

Because this keeps coming up, I wanted to let everyone know that I don't sell or give away my patterns. It's nothing personal, I tell literally no one my patterns. I make hats for a living, and that unfortunately means that I cannot sell my patterns at this time. I hope to eventually be able to sell them, but I will post about that. Please do not ask me for patterns at this time, and please respect the many years that I have spend making patterns and let them inspire you, but don't directly copy my work! There are lots of fantastic and often free fox/creature patterns on Ravelry to try out.

Those are so cool. I want one.

They're too expensive for me, though.

Thanks!
I've got a few other hats that range from the $25 mark (dragonscales hats) through the $35 to $40 mark (Pikachu, Umbreon, Foxes, Basic wolves and cats)
And they pretty much last forever, haha, I've got at least three of my original hats that I still wear :D

Wow, I had no idea that you could get large ears to stand up effectively on a hat like this before today. You're brilliant! I love this.

Thanks! Yeah, this is the first time I've ever managed it with ears this large, they're between 12/13 inches long. Most of the time they just flop over, which is fine if you have a rabbit hat, but not so much for Espeons :)

Thanks! I'm kinda torn, they look really good together in person. I'd probably have to edge out the purple just slightly in front of the green, too ;)
