That being said, here is the final version of the picture I have been putting up in various incarnations. This is Kel Aer'Aai, who, as I said, will not be appearing for quite some time in my Vicious Sun series, however, I couldn't resist putting him up (again).

More to come when his character is revealed, but I'll just say that this coloration of Neisti'Kegawa is one of a kind in the species. He's a pretty awesome character, can't wait to introduce him in the novels!

So, some species info...
Sparkfur (Neisti'Kegawa) Dragons
The fur is a form of elongated scale, which acts to hold in warmth and magic. It holds a magical charge which can be used to shock attackers. Or for fun.
Colorations vary widely, you'll find just about any color combination if you search enough clans.
They like fruit. A lot. There is a legend that if you give a Neisti'Kegawa an orange, they will grant a wish for you. This is an oft-perpetuated myth by those Neisties who want a free orange.

And this took foreeeeeveeeer... I seriously have lost track of all the hours I've put into this image. But this is hopefully the final version! Hopefully...

And yup, I just used the same pose his mum was in. I cheated... but that's mostly because I still don't have access to a scanner that can connect to my comp.
